career?

a person who read this might infer me as a person who likes to complaint every single thing that gone wrong in his life towards the system but ah hell whatever its my personal blog so let me lament here all i want.

when speaking about career, it's easy to imagine it when we are in university if you attended one but post university life, at least current one, you realise how unprepared you are in facing the so called working and career life. In a sense, it is as if, you had to narrow down your life choice at the tender age of 18-19, at after you start your university life, it's hard to turn back to.

so is the education system had failed us? honestly, when i graduated i realized how broken and disparage our own education system is, if it did lauded as a success, you would think that critical thinking, careful reading and moral integrity would be ingrained so into our current society, seeing as there is so many university graduates and people who at-least had experienced tertiary education.

however, that isnt the case, with the rise of tiktok especially, i see so many are informed about wrong information, a case where it's shouldn't happened, or even if it did happened, a rare case, statistic proved otherwise.

long gone the days where you actually have to learned critical thinking and all the stuff i've mentioned earlier, it is now a worker factory and i would i over exaggerate this statement but personal experience had opened my eyes on this. just look at the economic and education policy, i bet there is a line stating that to produce more high skilled "workers", government should invest more in university or technical school. rarely do they mentioned about the moral upbringing and to shape the characters of its citizen through the education, a rare statement indeed.

and a person who graduated, sometimes, well, i argue more that a minority, will get lost, he then a forced to abandon his soul screaming at him about this job, a job that feels so useless that it corrode the person who is employed. be it as it may, he still have to work on this useless job as bullshit job actually pays better than a job that is contributing more to the betterment of society, or at least, another person.

that said person would then wander around aimlessly throughout the fabric of the civilization, drifting about just to survive every single day, just to survive, nothing more than that. collectively and then you have a society that just serves as a cog in a big economic machinery. politics may shape that over the long term but on a daily basis, that is what happens.

a certificate that is worth nothing more than a scrap of paper, nothing more. however, as we live in the age of credentialism, we have to pretend that scrap of paper is worth more than that,

the biggest victim of this age of credentialism is, ironically, men. As the education system becomes more and more feminized, men then have to endure the changing culture in higher education or for other, dropped off. the sad things is, if someone took the decision to drop off from this broken education system, he then have to start all over again. fair? who knows, i certainly dont think so.
